A Music Man’s Goodbye

Christian Dzema, Staff Writer

Music has always been the easiest way for me to communicate my thoughts and emotions, so as I bid my adieu, I put together a list of songs that remind me of my days as a Parkland Trojan. The lyrics, the way my fellow classmates and teammates sang along, and the nostalgia found in songs that we loved way back in elementary school, all define this playlist of songs as something I find to be truly special.

  2. Long Live- Taylor Swift
  3. History- One Direction
  4. You’ve Got A Friend In Me- Randy Newman

  13. You’ve Got A Friend- James Taylor
  14. Purple Rain- Prince
  15. Life Is A Highway- Rascal Flatts
  16. We’re All In This Together- High School Musical

Thank you Parkland for giving me an incredible journey these last 12 years. Thank you everyone that crossed paths with me in some shape and form for adding to my experience. Through various activities such as Cross Country, Track and Field, Mr. Parkland, and being a staff member for The Trumpet, I had grown, matured, and gained many memories that I’ll hold dear. Thank you for letting me be able to write, run, dance, and smile along with all of you.

Good luck to everyone returning for the 2020-2021 school year. GO Trojans!
