At this year’s Scholastic Art & Writing competition held at Kutztown University on March 5th, Parkland High School and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute (LCTI) student Charles Carpenetti blew away his competitors by winning two gold and two silver key awards. Carpenetti’s paintings and digital art will now be judged at the country’s most prestigious art competition at the national level. Carpenetti is an Advertising Design and Commercial Art major at LCTI and continues to epitomize Parkland Pride by displaying his artistic talents.

After graduating from both Parkland High School and LCTI this spring, Carpenetti plans to attend West Virginia University for graphic design. Carpenetti’s talents will be surely missed following his departure from Parkland, but his incredible talent has made a lasting impact on the community.
