Unpacking the plan for the PHS Post Prom Party
PHS Prom is right around the corner! Prom is a night of dancing, photos, and fun memories that is sure to impress, but prom can also be a dangerous night for teens who might be sharing the road with drunk drivers. To combat this, PHS is holding its 19th annual Post Prom Party, “a fun-filled evening, full of entertainment, games, food and prizes in an alcohol/drug-free environment,” according to PHS principal Mr. Moniz.
PHS’s Post Prom Party, running from 11:30 pm to 5 am at the high school, is an extremely popular event, hosting hundreds of party-goers every year. All seniors may attend, even if you did not attend prom. Outside guests can attend as long as they are accompanied by a Parkland senior and are under the age of 21. The food and activities inside the event are completely free! The cost of your ticket covers all of the expenses, so there’s no need to worry about bringing extra cash. All you need to attend is your ticket and your student ID. You can leave at any time, but you are not permitted to re-enter once you leave the building. Seniors present at the event can win awesome prizes!
Food will be served until 3 am in the cafeteria, and a wide array of activities will be taking place all night long. Karaoke, face painting and henna, a money machine, photo booth, video game glow party, massage therapist, and caricature artist are some highlights you won’t want to miss. There will also be a hypnotist coming from 3:30-4:30 am, and right after will be the Grand Prize Drawings at 4:45 am.
If you would like to attend this exciting event but missed the opportunity to buy a ticket, tickets will be $15 at the auditorium door. To stay updated on the fun all night long, text @postprom22 to 81010 or 502-694-1142. Stay safe and have an awesome prom everyone!
