With winter coming to an end, the start of spring is here along with the many sports that are present for the season. One of the most prominent sports of spring is lacrosse. Parkland’s varsity and junior varsity lacrosse teams are looking promising for the 2024 season with varsity finishing the previous season with a 14-3 record and 9-0 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference with a +119 goal difference. Along with boy’s lacrosse, Parkland’s Girl’s Lacrosse team will also be taking the field for an exciting spring season. Here’s a look at what to expect from these teams this spring.
Parkland’s girl’s and boy’s varsity and junior varsity teams will be following similar schedules throughout the spring season. Each team is currently scheduled to have 18 games with one to two games per week against numerous schools in the area.
Parkland’s Boy’s Lacrosse teams are scheduled to hold their home openers on April 5 against Bethlehem Catholic High School with junior varsity playing at 5:30 PM and varsity playing at 7:00 PM. The regular season is planned to operate from late March and last until early May. Parkland’s varsity and junior varsity teams are looking strong with a full 20 player roster for each team including two goalies. All lacrosse teams have spent the offseason leading up to the start of spring with preparations for the season. These preparations have included numerous fundraisers being held throughout the area as well as practices and scrimmages to help the players develop their skills in order to give the best performance in games.
Parkland wishes these teams luck in their coming season and hope that members of Parkland High School will come and show support for the players at their upcoming games. Go Trojans!
