Are you looking to get involved in a club right here at PHS? Well the student involvement fair provides an opportunity for just that. Last Friday, all freshmen were able to go down to the auditorium and look through the possible clubs they might want to join. Whether you want to join a culture club to explore more about what interests you, or a business club to help perfect your skills for a future job, it’s a great way for students to see what the school has to offer for them.

So why should you join a club? Joining a club is the best way to meet new students that share the same interests as you. These same students can become people that end up being a good friend of yours. The schedule is also extremely flexible. Whether you’re looking for a club that meets everyday or once a month there’s a option that fits your calendar. It’s also a great way to add to your college transcript. Colleges love nothing more than seeing that you’re involved in clubs. It shows that you’re willing to do more than just what’s assigned to you and will take time out of your day for a cause you are passionate about. Finally you should join a club because of the same reason you join any other sport, class, or activity, because it’s fun. With almost 100 different clubs, there’s a club that everyone will enjoy.

With that being said, don’t join a club because you have to or are expected to. Sign up for a club because you want to. So when you’re looking for a club to join this year, don’t rush your decision.
