True love can be found in the most unexpected places. This time of year can be spent with a lover, a friend, or your family. No matter who you plan to spend the upcoming holiday with, it can be difficult to decide how to spend it. With the many lively destinations sprinkled across the Lehigh Valley, there are plenty of options. Even if you’re more the stay-at-home type, there are many ways to spend the holiday.
One popular way to spend valentine’s day is by grabbing a bite with someone you love. Whether you attend a restaurant like Apple Bee’s or Red Robin or chill out with a cup of ice cream at Sprinkles or the Udder Bar, going out to eat is a delicious way to spend the day.
If you’re not looking for a meal, try taking a group out shopping for a budgeted secret Santa-like event. The group (however big or small!) arrive at a shop with a budget to purchase a gift for another person. Afterward, the gifts can be exchanged at one of the gifters homes, or right outside the store.
A more budget friendly activity would be to invite somebody over to participate in some Valentine’s Day crafts. While you could have tons of fun making slime or sculptures, you can even make things such as cards and flowers out of just paper and glue.
At the end of the day, all that really matters is spending the holidays with the people you love. Even if you just curl up at the end of the day and pop some Netflix on the TV, surrounded by your family. However you choose to spend your Valentine’s Day, make it a great one.
