It’s almost March Madness season! Here are some teams that you should consider picking at the top of your bracket.
Duke Blue Devils
Duke has been one of the best teams in college basketball this season, leading the nation in offensive rating Led by superstar Freshman Cooper Flagg (19.7 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 4 APG), Duke currently sports a 19-3 record. Flagg, who is the projected #1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, is not pulling a solo effort. Freshman Kon Kneuppel (13.2 PPG) and Khaman Maluach (8 PPG, 6.2 RPG), along with junior Tyrese Proctor (12 PPG) have made Duke a team no one wants to face.
Auburn Tigers
Auburn may have lost in the first round to Yale last year, but they are looking dominant this season. Auburn is currently ranked #1 in the AP Poll, sporting a 24-2 record. Senior Johni Broome has been one of the best players in the nation (18 PPG, 11 RPG, 3.4 APG, 2.6 BPG). Could this finally be Auburn’s year?
Florida Gators
Florida basketball is back! The Florida Gators have been superb this season, garnering a 23-3 record. Senior Walter Clayton has been phenomenal (17.2 PPG, 4.2 APG). Florida was an unlikely pick to win the championship at the start of the season, but no one is doubting them now.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Alabama is having another dominant offensive season, leading the nation in scoring. They’ve been averaging their nation-best 90.6 points per game against the hardest strength of schedule in the country. Senior Mark Sears (18.5 PPG) may finally be able to lead Alabama to win the National Championship.
Houston Cougars
Houston is in the midst of another great regular season under Coach Kelvin Sampson, leading the nation in fewest points allowed per game and defensive rating. Senior LJ Cryer (14.5 PPG) leads the Cougar’s 4 players averaging over 10 points a game. After many years of falling short in March, this could finally be the year that Houston is back on top as NCAA champions.
