Large music festivals have always been a popular form of entertainment, and they have been used in the United States since 1982. Everyone knows Coachella, but most people aren’t aware of all of the other ones across the world, such as Lollapalooza, The Governors Ball, Bonaroo, and Laneway. Some artists performing at a handful of festivals this year include Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, and more.
Coachella
Coachella is one of the biggest music festivals in the entire world, and it has been happening since 1999. It has gained so much popularity, which caused it to become one of the most expensive festivals ever. This year, Coachella is happening from April 11-13 and April 18-20. The headliners include Lady Gaga ,who has a new upcoming album, Green Day, and Post Malone. Other artists that are performing are Benson Boone, The Marias, Lisa, Tyla, Marina, Charli XCX, Clario, Megan Thee Stallion, Jennie, Beabadoobee, Shaboozy, and many more
The Governors Ball
The Governors Ball music festival is in Flushing Meadows Park in NYC from June 6-8. This festival isn’t as well known as Coachella, but it isn’t unknown either. The headliners are Tyler the Creator, Benson Boone, Olivia Rodrigo, Fied, Hozier, and Glass Animals. Other artists include Conan Gray, Clario, Marina, Wallows, Wave to Earth, Young Miko, Tyla, Role Model, Raye, and more.
Laneway
Laneway music festival takes place in Australia. This year, the most popular artists there were Charli XCX, Beabadoobee, and Clario. This festival took place from February 6-16. At the festival, Charli XCX and Clario broke the internet by playing Clario’s hit song Sofia together for the first time ever.
Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza started in 1991, and it takes place in Chicago. So far, the lineups for international lollapalooza festivals have been released, but the lineup for the United States festival has still not been released. This year Lollapalooza is happening in Argentina from March 21–23, 2025 at Hipódromo de San Isidro in Buenos Aires. Some of the headliners are Olivia Rodrigo, Shawn Mendes, and Justin Timberlake. Other performers include Benson Boone, Teddy Swims, Girl in Red, The Marias, Tate McRae, Wave to Earth, Nessa Barrett, and many more. Lollapalooza Brazil takes place from March 28-30, 2025 with the same lineup, as well as Lollapalooza Chile.
