This led fans to believe that she was releasing the song sometime soon, and they were right.

In 2020, Chappell released the song Pink Pony Club, which caused Atlantic Records to drop her due to not being successful enough. She went independent, and released My Kink is Karma, Naked in Manhattan, and Femanominon. She then got signed to another label, Amusement Records, and released The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which didn’t blow up until she opened for Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS world tour. When Good Luck, Babe! was released, she completely gained fame and became a known popstar around the world. She gained the biggest lollapalooza festival crowd in history. While the number of fans is unknown, about 110,000 people attended the festival that day.’
Since November, fans have been begging Chappell to release the unreleased songs The Subway and The Giver. Promotional posters for The Giver have been popping up everywhere in large cities across the US. It first started with “the lawyer” poster in Times square. It provided a number to call, and if you called it, it provided a recording of chappells voice. The recording stated that you could talk to “the dentist”, “the plumber”, “the construction worker”, “the lawyer”, or “the private investigator”, and each one played a different snippet of the song. Chappell also released 7’ vinyls that represented each of their careers. So far, she has released a vinyl for each career except the dentist. Fans have come up with many theories regarding the vinyls because they ship out on August 18. Fans have been speculating that a new album might be released over the summer, also because the vinyl has a demo version of the unheard song Fix it in the Morning on the B side.
The Giver is very different compared to Chappell’s past works because it is country themed. Although no information regarding the release of The Subway has come out, many people believe that it will be on her new album. Recently, Chappell finally announced the release date for the song, and it is coming out on March 13.
