Parkland Girls Volleyball End to the Season and senior night

Parkland Girls volleyball season is unfortunately coming to an end, but they’ve had  another impressive season. Their current record is 9-0, pushing their way up to number 42 in the state. The girl’s final game is Friday October 23 away against the Whitehall Zephyrs. Freshman manager Meghan Haines said, “This season was so amazing, the girls worked so hard everyday. I loved coming into the gym to get better and learn new things. I will really miss coming into the gym everyday, but I had an amazing time, and hope to continue this volleyball path throughout high school.”

The girls have pushed through these hard times and are helping with Parkland’s efforts to keep our school together while we are apart. Freshman Hailey Schimmer was excited for her first year on the team and said, “ This year was my first year on the parkland volleyball team and I am so thankful for the amazing upperclassman and coaches that made such a short season so amazing. In early September, we were not sure if we were even going to have a season but every girl on the team still came into the gym everyday and worked hard to push themselves and others so that no matter what the outcome was we were all able to improve. Every girl in the gym always held themselves accountable and were always there to pick their teammates up after every play and celebrate every victory, small or large. The girls Parkland VOlleyball team is a family and I am so lucky to be a part of and am so grateful for everyone that was here to make this year possible.”
