albums with many special surprises along the way.

Due to a messy legal situation with her old recording label and manager Scooter Braun, Swift does not legally own over half of her mastered songs.  However, she found a loophole in her contract that allowed her to re-record and release her songs after the contract expired which happened in November 2020.  Swift has publicly spoken about this issue speaking not only for herself but to advocate for artists to have ownership of their work.

She has already started to release the re-recorded songs calling them Taylor’s Version.   So far she has released her hit single Love Story (Taylor’s Version) and plans to release her album Fearless very soon.  Swift, however, has a tendency to surprise her fans.  To top off this exciting news she posted on her social media that she will not only be releasing the re-recorded versions of the Fearless album but also six songs never heard before that almost made the album (or as she would say: “pulling songs from the vault”).

Fans speculate that the new album will be released in April with her other studio albums (Taylor Swift, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation) to follow suit.

Taylor Swift has proven herself a very talented artist over the past year-and-a-half with the release of three new albums (lover, folklore, and evermore), two documentaries (Miss Americana and Long Pond Studio Sessions), live performances (pre-Covid) such as Lover est in Paris and now the re-recordings.  It is no doubt that many fans are very excited to see what comes next from AMA’s Artist of the Decade.
