Three Seniors to be Recognized for the PEA Scholarship Award
The Public Education Agency has awarded three Parkland seniors 1,000 dollars for their efforts in academics and attending college for an associated major in education. Whether it be elementary, music, or general math these students want to teach future students, their hard work paid off as they were accepted for this scholarship.
Claire Weaver will be attending Millersville university to study elementary education. She gets her inspiration from her mother, who is currently an elementary teacher. She is very active in and out of school and has a job in the midst of her schedule.
Isabella Landis Plans on attending Penn State university to study Music which will lead her on to teach music to others in the future of her education major. While she plays the euphonium, bass trombone, and regular trombone, Isabella has also had a job while in her school career.
William Meeker will be staying close to the Lehigh valley as he will make way to Kutztown university. His mom is a math teacher at Parkland which spurs him on to go into mathematical education. He is a very active student and has worked while in high school in junior and senior year.
Congratulations to these scholarship recipients. We look forward to seeing where their future takes them in terms of teaching the new generation.
