Parkland High School has had tens of thousands of students walk through its halls since it was founded in 1949. Given the vast number of students who have become alumni, it is unsurprising that several have achieved great distinctions. From NFL players and actresses to local business owners, dozens of past Parkland students have been recognized for their post-high school success on the Distinguished Alumni Wall of Honor; on May 2nd, four new members will join this acclaimed group.
Lindsay Beagle, M.S., (2000), Biomedical engineer/Senior Director MERCK
- She is the second member from the class of 2000 to be inducted into the Wall of Honor, following the current U.S. Republican nominee for the Pennsylvania 7th district, Ryan MacKenzie. She has served as the senior director of Merck since November 2023.
Dr. John Pfeiffer Jr., ED. D (1979), Parkland Cyber Program Supervisor, Retired; Owner, John Pfeiffer Jr. – Auctioneer/Appraiser
- He is the third member from the class of 1979 to be inducted into the Wall of Honor, following Suzanne Kompass and Kim Viti Fiorentino. Pfieffer Jr. has worked in the auctioneering industry for over thirty years, alongside supervisor Parkland’s Alternative Education program.
Captain Jonathon Steed (2008), Allentown Fire Marshal/Investigator/USMC
- Steed joined the Allentown Fire Department in 2013 and currently serves as a fire marshal. He is the first member from the class of 2008 to be inducted into the Wall of Honor.
Patricia L. Stewart (1961), President/CFO of Ironton Internet & Telephone Company
- Stewart is the first member of the class of 1961 to be inducted into the Wall of Honor. She served as the Director of Finance & Administration for the Ironton Telephone Company for over 50 years before becoming its President and CFO in July 2018.
